Facing History and Ourselves and Margot Stern Strom, Executive Director

Facing History and Ourselves, led by Margot Stern Strom, is an international non profit organization that provides professional development services and resources to teachers worldwide so students can explore choices and recognize the decisions in history, large and small, that led to group hatred and violence. By confronting the past, students understand their responsibility to each other and the larger community, and learn to act more ethically and compassionately. From offices in Brookline, MA and regional offices around the world, the program reaches more than two million students annually.
