Harvard Medical School and Dr. Bill Cosby to honor Judge Baker Children’s Center veteran Dr. Alvin F. Poussaint

Boston, MA – Harvard Medical School (HMS) is honoring Dr. Alvin F. Poussaint of Judge Baker Children’s Center with a day-long lecture series at Harvard followed by an evening tribute dinner at the Westin Copley Place on Saturday, February 12, 2005.
Established in the spring of 2003, the Alvin F. Poussaint, MD Visiting Lecture Fund was created to bring underrepresented minority alumni/ae of HMS back to Harvard for an annual lecture. The inaugural lecture will take place on Saturday, February 12, 2005 on the Quad of Harvard Medical School with Dr. Poussaint as the featured speaker.
Throughout the day Harvard will host a number of scientific seminars presented by HMS alums and faculty in the areas of Academic Research and Practice and Policy. Attendees must pre-register for a midday lunch in Harvard’s Courtyard Café. Contact Joan Berns for more information.
