SUMMARY:
Dr. La Greca will first review what is known about the kinds of reactions children show following trauma and natural disasters, and how these reactions change over time. Next, she will identify factors that put children at special risk, and other factors that protect children from adverse reactions. Finally, she will describe empirically informed strategies (including her own) for intervention following trauma and natural disasters.
