At Clinical Care, we believe in equipping children and their parents with a toolbox of skills that they can use to successfully navigate the inevitable challenges and stresses life presents. Our goal is to teach both children and their parents a range of techniques for developing more adaptive behaviors and thoughts, overcoming obstacles, building confidence, and building resiliency. We aim to give children the opportunity to learn skills designed to meet the current challenges, but that are adaptable to be used again for future challenges as they move though developmental stages.
Parents
As parents, you are uniquely tuned into the feelings, emotions and health of your children. When a child is experiencing difficulty it is often the parent who notices first. However, it can be hard to ascertain if the difficulty is transient or if professional assistance is needed.
At Clinical Care at Judge Baker Children's Center, we are here to assess and treat your child's mental health issues. Our Clinical Care team uses evidence-based assessment and treatments that have been proven to be effective in clinical trials. In the field of child psychotherapy, it has been shown over the past four decades that certain treatments for anxiety, depression, trauma, and disruptive behavior result in greater and longer lasting outcomes for youth. Most of these proven treatments are cognitive behavioral therapies, and may include working with youth and/or parents.
