Michele Urbancic joined Judge Baker Children’s Center on October 1, 2007. As Vice President of Advancement, Michele has overall responsibility for development, public relations and communications. Michele’s charge is to set the strategic fundraising direction for The Baker, implement a development plan focused on donor cultivation and major gifts, and build a comprehensive communications program.

Prior to joining The Baker, Michele spent six years in development at Boston University, beginning her tenure there as a University Major Gifts Officer. She then transferred to the School of Medicine where she became Director of Major Gifts and then Associate Director of Development. Michele’s prior background includes a career with AT&T in both Boston and New Jersey in the areas of sales, marketing, operations, and international. After eighteen years with AT&T, Michele took an early retirement and moved back to Boston to assume the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for the Center of Strategy Research.

Michele is a graduate of Wellesley College where she majored in Art History.
